Im with 'moptoo' about the first verse being about Stretch, second verse being about Biggie and third aimed at the woman who got him locked up. Remember it was the hype created by the media and also fans that escalated the beef and not Tupac. He did go hard at Biggie because he believed he turned on him. He was his friend and Tupac was never afraid of him or jealous. He helped Biggie's career and even Biggie admitted that Tupac schooled him in with a lot of knowledge about rap. You think Pac provoked this? What about the timing of releasing the song 'who shot ya'? What about the way Badboy and affiliates treated the situation? We can only speculate what happened but from the information available I dont blame Pac for going out like that. Its unfortunate it turned out the way it did but this song is so strong because it was made reflecting on the drama he faced in the last 2-3 years of his life. I think this is the real message to Biggie instead of 'hit em up' as it goes into the possible intentions of Biggie. |
