once upon a time in minneapolis, yo I damn near had to steal the show I stepped on the stage, who is it? My name's slug I've come to kill a couple minutes what's up with the way, that everybody gathers around each other so they can steal each others sound if it's all about gettin down with the get down how long I gotta wait for these fools to sit down? This is my favorite section of the song. "What's up with the way people gather around each other so they can steal each other's sound"- I think this is saying something about how everyone wants to make everyone alike. Like for an example how jocks only accept jocks (Like I said just an example not trying to say anything, it may not be always true). So many people aren't accepting of others and their ideas or styles and everyone works to try and make everyone the same. |

| I don't know, A bowl of melted ice cream would be difficult to eat so it could be saying let life in but it will be hard to understand or "Hard to swallow" as some may say. The deer in the high beams is a little self explanatory. A deer in the headlights stops and doesn't react to the car coming for it. "They've got the deer in the headlights look" is in reference to someone who is a little clueless looking. So it could be saying that you can either chose to try and understand life but be baffled or you can just stay ignorant and bliss. This is just my interpretation. | |

I'll break it down verse by verse timber shakes these trails they are derailed phony false and frail an empty ocean lost our way with no direction home golden needles names we take in vein find it harder to remain nothing sacred waiting on that explanation This explains how so many things are just fake and easily destroyed nothing is made with sole Lost our way with no direction-we have traveled too far from our origin and it's destroying us Nothing sacred-well that's just it nothin is sacred it can "Just be replaced" right before my eyes saw the whole world lose control the whole world lost control before my eyes uh huh I fell through the floor couldn't take it anymore I can't take this anymore it breaks my mind uh huh pretty streight forward in his/our time the world has changed so much and so fast it's just terring itself apart and he's just given up cause he can't take it anymore and he fell through the floor. hold her dirty hands over the flames getting pleasure from the pain softly screaming the pistol that she raised has spoken golden needles names we take in vein find it harder to remain nothing sacred waiting on that explanation holding "her" dirty hands over the flame may be a reference to mother nature how we've been punishing her too hard for nothing. the pistol is the self desturuction that we are doing a "Suicide" of human kind golden needles may be drugs like ones injected he can't see past his eyes because he can't see what the deeper end of life because it just seemes to not matter anymore... |

well Considering Aberdeen is a city the one who wrote the song (Matt mostlikely) may have gone to Aberdeen and did some bad things. He never "Saw his dark side" in aberdeen's "Eyes" as in he never was a mean or dark person while in aberdeen because he was having so much fun but he finnaly got caught or arrested maybe for doing the "Sins" in aberdeen which refers to "You've burned me again" Also considering that Aberdeen sounds like a cool girls name maybe it's a girl he's sining about but I think the "she" is just a metaphore refering to the city. |

| Manifest Destiny was when America was trying to actually get just that America from "Sea to shining sea" so when they were getting the land that America though was there's or rightfully their's. Idk if some people know this or not, its what I learned about in 7th grade last year so yeah. But anyways Americas Manifest Destiny involved extensive amounts of killing. Natives, Mexicans, and other races. So it is just a fancy way to say murder. | |

| Some of the lyrics seem to be stuff he was told to do, forced with remorse to learn the basoon, gotta get a bike and paint it so the monkey could be a rude referance to his boss that made him do things he didnt want to do. He could be regreting he didnt do anything about it and he now wants more life to live. And he's feeling crazy because he is thinking about all this and its driving him up the wall. At one point he felt he was the best at what he did and it hit him and he figured out he wasnt as good as he thought. The guy on the rim of his glass could be that he got wasted or stoned and started seeing things, I dont know how that stuff really works. the other stuff is kinda self explanitory after that. | |

I think this is about some murderer in love with someone and he is going to kill his love behind a boat house therefore making her his angel. Then she will look the same, with dark hair and soft skin, he will take care of her while she is dead. Kreepy but I guess it makes sense- Wont be a gentalman behind the boat house.-Is going to kill her there. Make her his angel-Killing her and keeping her body do you wanna die-explains itself You'll stay as beutiful-SHe will look the same with a dead body you get the point. and the showing the dark seceret could be dead barried bodies or a bloody axe or something. why make a meaningless song about NON EXISTANT vampires. |
