Oh my god htose lyrics are beautiful. With this pen, I thee wed from my heart to your distress. This is literally the explanation of words to a song. It's him writing these words with that pen, straight from his heart, where it comes and relates to us in our times of distress. That's what this song is, it's about songs we love, the experiences that lead artists to write them which lead people to have experience based from those songs. The sirens that never came? Police sirens, they didn't get caught. He experiences his times by the moon, and every word of the songs is handwritten. |

| I think the lyric is "There's nothing like another soul that's been cut with sand." | |

I'm pretty sure it's "are you mad enough to lay here?" and "Come sing about me." in the chorus. And also, I believe this song is about when a relationship is dying, it's in those final moments. and you go "are you hurting?" and they go "Yup." and confirm your fears. Yup, she's upset and her hearts breaking. So is yours. Everything is going to shit, and they might be explaining it, but you are pissed. and all you hear is them asking you to write a song about how pissed you are at them. |

Christ, this song is vicious. It's like leftover lyrics from The Horrible Crowes. To me this about a past relationship, and she ended it without much to say about it, and they guy is left in the dust. and is asking to bring up painful memories for her "Remember when you said this? And when we did this? Remember how you threw it all away?" |

Holy lord do I love this song, I mean really. It's excellent. I think this is a small story from some other songs, he's always talking about Boxers. Like in this and "The Blues, Mary" I think he is a boxer in romance, y'know? Like, he's always getting beat down by everyone. But he finds good things and help on the radio, and it keeps him on his feet. |

I think this song is about his relationship with Joe Strummer and The Clash, atleast, that's what I get from it. In a kid where nothing else makes sense, Joe Strummer sings him everything to make it better. |
