i agree with either a moral meaning or overcoming cynicism, they both seem believable to me. in fact, i think this song can have many meanings, not just the one it was written with. By leaving the lyrics up to our interpretation, the band allows the song to speak to us in whatever way we choose it to. so while i might not see the underlying message about a person struggling to come out of the closet, it might to others. the line "decide what to be and go be it" can be used for whatever personal motivation you need in order to lead you toward a true, meaningful life... whatever that may be for you |
