| Bon Jovi – Always Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
@sic n twisted: You killed your grandmother because you hated Bon Jovi? If I killed my relatives because my musical interests conflicted with their's, most of my cousins, aunts, uncles, and other relatives would be dead. (Most of my relatives either like Justin Beiber or some form of annoying country music. My brother and parents, on the other hand, are classic rock fans, so they're safe.) @d3bates: I actually laughed at the "BLASPHEMY!" because that was what I was actually thinking. xD |

| Evanescence – My Immortal Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
This song makes me cry so much everytime I hear it. My older sister, my hero, died in a car crash while taking her friends home from a party. She was the designated driver and one of them reached over and grabbed the wheel, veering them off the side of the road. She was comatosed for a year before she finally passed on. During that year, I felt so alone. This song almost exactly describes me watching her decay before my eyes. "i'm so tired of being here suppressed by all my childish fears" I grew tired of waiting for her to just die. "but if you have to leave i wish that you would just leave" I begged my parents to just let her go. She would've wanted it that way. The doctors said that if she woke up, she'd been in immense pain for the rest of her life. "'cause your prescence still lingers here and it won't leave me alone" Her room is exactly how she left it. We haven't touched anything. It's too hard. "these wounds won't seem to heal this pain is just too real there's just too much that time cannot erase" It's been nearly six years and I still cry when her name is mentioned. "when you cried i'd wipe away all of your tears when you'd scream i'd fight away all of your fears i held your hand through all of these years but you still have...all of me" I helped her through some intense break ups, I'd wipe away her tears. I'd let her scream. I'd just be there silently holding her hand. I just wish that she was here to help me through all of it. "you used to captivate me by your resonating light" She was my hero. "now i'm bound by the life you left behind" I try to act like her, try to keep her alive in some way. "your face, it haunts my once pleasant dreams" I still have nightmares about the night we rushed to the ER and saw her. "your voice, it's chased away all the sanity in me" I still hear her laugh. RIP ANNABELLA <3 We still miss you. |

| Well, that was awkward. But good explanation. | |
| The Rocky Horror Picture Show – Time Warp Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| We were at our Halloween dance at school and they started playing Time Warp and a few of my friends and I were screaming the lyrics at random bystanders whilst doing the Time Warp. Let's just say a lot of guys asked us to dance after word. ;) "Let's do the Time Warp again~~~!!!" | |
| Taylor Swift – Better Than Revenge Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I hate to say it, but this song is rather good. The problem is that it does sound a little too much like Misery Business for my liking. |

| Andrew W.K. – Party Party Party Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I admire your insight, but I'd like to know more about this Marty. On what psychological level is his need to party? Is it a level that rivals a five year old's need of sugar and politically correct television shows that equally portray people who live in Mexico, does is compete with a teenager's need to talk constantly with their friends and eat fattening foods, does it contend with an adult woman's need to keep her house clean, or is has it reached the level of a man's need to watch his football; baseball; basketball; wrestling; etc. while consuming alchoholic beverages? | |
| Andrew W.K. – Make Sex Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| These lyrics are so complex, I am having a dreadfully hard time wrapping my head around them for fear of suffering a mental overload. //sarcasm. | |

| And now that you're done with that, don't you have a Bible to be thumping else where? | |
| Van Halen – Eruption Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Excuse me, kind Internet user, but I believe you put the wrong punctuation at the end of that statement. I'm sure you meant to put a period or even an exclamation mark, seeing as Eruption is by far something to get excited over. Thank you, have a lovely day! |

| Bowling for Soup – The Bitch Song Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Can we please get a grammar professor over here? Because I could not understand a word in all of your reply. | |
| Van Halen – Eruption Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
And you think you're so cool, even though your grammatical skills are dreadful to look at. * Any how, why would you say that Van Halen is over rated? *I'm not saying that my grammar is perfect, because it's not. |

| Van Halen – Eruption Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I do believe that Eddie Van Halen is an amazing guitarist; at the same time I hold Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan in high regard as well. Along with Jimmy Page and Randy Rhoads. Also, Eddie is from a slightly different musical genre (because I'm sure you know that there are many styles of rock and roll) than the three artists you listed. But if you look at pretty much any video of Eddie playing his guitar, he has the biggest smile on his face, which leads me to believe that he loves playing it. And while your opinion may differ from mine, there is at least one thing the four have in common: They enjoy (or enjoyed) playing the guitar. | |
| Van Halen – Eruption Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| nameless2, I believe you have the best opinion in the entire comment area. I applaude you in a non sarcasic way. And I have found that many of the kids my age(I am a teenager) are very egotistical. | |
| Van Halen – Eruption Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Keeping with Chinup's comment, I believe that is impossible to compare those three songs in any way. Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Van Halen are from three totally different genres. Zeppelin was more progressive hard rock, they were the stepping stones for rock and roll as we know it. Skynyrd was more southern rock. And Van Halen was one of the first "hair bands" and revolutionized hard rock/metal. Eddie is a guitar God, along with many other guitarists, but I will not go into my long list for fear of rambling. | |
| Bowling for Soup – Baby One More Time Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Jesus Tap-Dancing Christ, his voice is amazing. :P | |
| Van Halen – Hot for Teacher Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
This is one of my top twenty favorite songs. A bunch of guys stole my iPod on the bus the other day and found the music video on it and watched it. They then gave it back and then said "Can we enroll at that school?" To which I replied, "Yeah, I want Eddie Van Halen to teach me to play guitar!" And one of my best friends, who is a guy, said "You're missing the point to why they want to go." I replied, "Oh, I know exactly why they want to go. Phys. Ed. is pretty smexxi at that school." To which they burst out laughing. |

| Def Leppard – Love Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Okay, I was really obsessing over this song when I posted that comment, but that was because I was in a situation almost perfectly described by this song. Anyhow, the lyrics are pretty obvious. But they could be referring to a person as "love" since love is a term of endearment (like Honey, Dear, Sweetheart, etc.). Or it could be refering to love as the abstract noun it is, which would make more sense, since they're making it seem immortal by saying "You never loose, you never fail. You always live to tell the tale". I feel that had Sparkle Lounge been more popular, this would have been a much more popular song. |
|
| Def Leppard – When Love And Hate Collide Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
This is definently one of my top ten favorite Def Leppard songs and one of my top fifteen of all time. I alway cry because I can mildly relate to this song: "Divided we stand, baby, united we fall" I know how that feels. That's all I'm saying. |

| Bowling for Soup – High School Never Ends Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Y'know, I was going to contradict ilovegingerboys, but then I read billhawks's reply and I felt the need to point this out. "ya dumb fuck its bvecause your popular...ur probabily just as bad as miley cirus, laddy gaga, or any of those useless people that sing there gay ass meaningless songs." Okay, I highly doubt that ilovegingerboys is a "dumb fuck". And maybe she is popular, but that is acceptable. And to compare someone to Miley Cyrus or Lady Gaga is highly inappropriate. I would find it offensive to be compared to people such as them, hence I wouldn't compare anyone else to them. And just because their songs have no meaning to you doesn't mean they have no meaning to them. May I remind you of one of Miley's earlier songs "Miss You" (or something like that) which was written about a close relative who passed away. Do you think that is gay and meaningless? "you would be one of the people that no one thats perfact will wana be with...your going to divorce someone." Can you be any more stereotypical? Just because she enjoys being popular and having friends doesn't mean that after high school she's going to divorce someone. And the whole "no one thats perfact will wana be with" thing is rather absurd considering that no one is perfect. Obviously you aren't. Look at your grammar skills. **I'm not saying that my grammar are perfect, because I know for a fact that they aren't, but at least I can write a coherant paragraph that expresses a topic along with details without the aide of profain language to prove a point. "or be divorced...sorry im being harsh but unless Most of america changes...every body will be a bunch of dipshits looking for popularity doing nothing important with their life..." Apologizing doesn't take back what you said. So don't bother. And categorizing America as the only country that is "looking for popularity" is rather redundant. Considering that a lot of the "popular" Americans are supporting a good cause, I don't think that popularity is a bad thing. Further more "doing nothing important with their life..." is a VERY sheltered opinion. You could have been doing so much more with your life than writing those two offensive comments, such as volunteering at your local animal shelter, petitioning for more recycling centers in your local town, or just being a friend to someone who needs a friend. "btw... singing music is not an important life styile joining army or being a teacher the list goes on and on but singing no" So you're saying that you hate music in general. You're saying that you'd rather be stuck in a classroom of 30 kids who are all disobeying and disrespecting you than on stage expressing yourself in a way many people can relate to. Singing is an indirect way to save a life. I always swore I'd never tell this to anyone, but music has stopped me from killing myself. Whenever that pill bottle or knife looks tempting, I just listen to Close My Eyes Forever and I realize that killing myself isn't worth it. Also, there are many songs out there that are written about things that have happened and feelings that people wish to convey. Some examples are: Close My Eyes Forever - Lita Ford feat. Ozzy Osbourne (It's about wondering what would happen if you committed suicide, would it all be the same?) Livin' On The Edge - Aerosmith (Written about the LA Riots. It's also saying that no matter how screwed up the world gets, we'd rather live with it than change it.) Janie's Got A Gun - Aerosmith (A song about a girl who was molested by her father, and she kills him out of revenge) My Michelle - Guns N Roses (About a girl [Michelle] who was on the right track until her mother died of a heroine overdose, now her father no longer cares and lets her do as she pleases. She gets addicted to many drugs and parties and drops out of school and pretty much screws her life up) Let It Be- The Beatles (It's about learning to cope with loss. It was written around the time The Beatles were breaking up, so I can imagine that Paul McCartney was rather distressed at the time.) You Can't Always Get What You Want - The Rolling Stones (I think the title explains it.) When Love And Hate Collide - Def Leppard (It's about a couple who aren't seeing eye to eye. They have fought, even spilt up. His brain is telling him that he hates her yet his heart begs to differ. This also has one of the most powerful lines ever penned: "Divided we stand, baby, united we fall.") Angel - Aerosmith (This song is about a woman who is like a saviour, taking the pain away. She's literally his angel.) Mama, I'm Coming Home - Ozzy Osbourne (To Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy's wife. They used to fight, [At one point, he nearly killed her] but this song shows that he still loves her and can't wait to come home to her) Beth - Kiss (This is a very emotional song written to Peter Criss's wife about touring and how he was never home to see her. This is what led up to him leaving the band.) Every Rose Has It's Thorn - Poison (A guy [Bret Micheals] finds out his girlfriend is cheating on him and realizes that "Every rose has it's thorn. Just like every night has it dawn. Just like every cowboy sings a sad, sad song.") Highway to Hell - AC/DC (Not all songs that convey emotions needs to be sad, this is about a city that was giving them all kinds of crap while they were touring. One of the band members compared the drive to the shows to a "Highway to Hell".) Now that I'm done with billhawks, I shall move on to ilovegingerboys. Popularity is somewhat overrated, if you're a tad antisocial like myself. (Antisocial means not being able to conform to the rule of society and not being able to act normally amongst your peers.) But if you're the kind of person that thrives in a social environment, then you would most likely think that being popular is good. No where in your comment did you say that you were a snob, a prep, or a whore, so I am not finding any reason for billhawks's alarm. Some of the people I hang out with are considered popular because they have a lot of friends. They have many friends because of their personalities, not because of the stereotypical "how to be popular" lists saying that the clothing in your closet needs to cost more than your house, you need to throw tantrums when "Daddy won't pay for my eighteenth car. He says I need to get a job!!!", or when "That loser dumped me for HER?!". But, that was just my opinion on those three comments. In other news, the video for this song is absolutely hilarious. It shows that revenge is sweet, and I can see myself seeking revenge like that at my high school reunions. >:D |

| Michael Jackson – Thriller Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I agree completely. This is my favorite thing to sing around Halloween time. I also sing it at random when I'm in one of my odd moods, but that is beside the point. And my little brother knows most of the zombie dance routine from the video. It makes me so proud when he starts dancing it at random with me. (: Anyhow, the lyrics are easy to interpret, it's him telling a scary story. The End. |
|
| Michael Jackson – Thriller Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Hell yes, greedo. He is the reason pop music is where it's at. Although in my opinion, pop has gone down the drains in recent years. :/ | |

| xD That statement is full of win. | |

|
| Judas Priest – Metal Meltdown Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
WHAT THE HELL! THE INTRO TO THIS IS MADLY INSANE AND THERE'S ONLY FOUR COMMENTS?! Rob Halford is graced with a voice that every metal singer dreams of. And the pure insanity that is called guitar solos throughout the songs make my fingers hurt just thinking about it. JUDAS PRIEST ALL THE WAY! (My life long ambition is to play the intro on the guitar some day....) |

| AC/DC – Highway To Hell Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| "If only I was born 20 years earlier..." I know the feeling... xD | |
| Rush – Tom Sawyer Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| My dad and I are total Rush nerds! ;) We watched a Rush concert on DirecTV's concert series the other day and it's absolutely amazing how Geddy can play all of those instruments. And I love his voice! He has a distinct voice like Steven Tyler and Axl Rose, you can just pick it out of anywhere. I don't care what people say about my taste in music, Rush is awesome. End of story. ;) | |
| Bon Jovi – Bed Of Roses Lyrics | 15 years ago |

| Def Leppard – Love Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| By far my favorite DL song, currently. | |
| Steel Magnolia – Keep On Lovin' You Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| This song is so catchy! | |
| Joe Nichols – Gimmie That Girl Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I love this song, I wish that someone would sing it to me. Anywho, my interpretation is that he wants his wife or girlfriend to just be herself, he loves her that way, not with loads of makeup or fancy clothes on. He'd take her with her hair in a mess and a tshirt and jeans on. |
|
| Jaron and the Long Road To Love – I Pray for You Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I love this song! :} It's so funny! | |
| FM Static – Crazy Mary Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I think it's about a girl who is lonely, and has all these thoughts and dreams in her head, but she drinks them away with alcholol (Would do anything for a cold one) and is on the verge of killing herself because she's so lonely. | |
| FM Static – America's Next Freak Lyrics | 15 years ago |

| Relient K – Manic Monday (The Bangles cover) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Actually, it's not "He tells me in his bedroom voice, C'mon honey, let's go make some noise" it's "He says to me in his Quiet Riot voice, come on feel the noise," Quiet Riot did the song called Cum On Feel The Noize. I love this cover(: | |
| Relient K – I'm Lion-o Lyrics | 15 years ago |

| Hawk Nelson – Let's Dance Lyrics | 15 years ago |

| Hawk Nelson – Letters To The President Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| This song says everything that most kids think nowadays. We here all sorts of crap about same sex marriage and date rape. Most of us want it to change, but we won't put out the effort to change it ourselves. This is one of my favorites by Hawk Nelson! | |
| Hawk Nelson – Letters To The President Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Okay, guys, they're a Canadian band with a Parliment. There's like a law in Canada that forbids people speaking against them or something like that. So, they'd write a letter to the President of the United States and with all their concerns (i.e. Same sex marriage in a state where they don't care, the jail time for murder, etc) and have him pass it to the leaders of the Parliment without mentioning their names so they aren't arrested. | |
| AC/DC – Rock 'n' Roll Ain't Noise Pollution Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| In Science one day, we were talking about pollutions and stuff, and my science teacher, who was atleast eighty, started droning on about how her babies listened to what they called rock and roll and how the rock and roll from their era was noise pollution (Which is right around the time this song was released) and I stood up and turned on my iPod touch and played this song for her. We all sang along and then I was sent to detention... | |
