my absolute favorite part in this that makes so much sense and is just completely right is:

i think its defintly about a man who most people looked down at because he did some things that people didnt agree with, but people just judged instead of taking the time to see through the things he did and to know him as a person. and Brent is saying that its a shame that nobody even tried, and Brent just wanted people to let him be. |

I think its about having to leave someone because it was just easier to leave them and remember the relationship the way it was instead of trying to change into someone there not.and they know its time to move on and leave things in the past knowing they tried. Gorgeous song. |
