I LOVE THIS SONG BY GREENDAY! I believe this is about a relationship, a bestfriend is trying to get his friend *girl* back and start something "You and I". She lost her boyfriend and now she's hurting and depressed and lonely "Did someone break your heart inside?" The bestfriend wants her to give up and come back as friends "Lay down your arms Give up the fight." She needs to come back and they'll be happy "You and I". something along those lines is how i feel it was written for. but there are sooooo many interpretations to this song, i personally take the song to don't give up, let it go, live and let die(the things that have hurt you) get over it. move on. and just LIVE |

This has to be one of Flyleafs most popular song! I love the band because they are religiously based, but people who aren't religious love them too! I like knowing their hidden message about it all pertaining to God and enjoying every second of it while others enjoy it too. The lyrics of this song are strong: someone has accepted the Lord as their savior, and they are giving it all up to him and trusting him with their all. It's very special, and enjoyable to listen to. |

I love this song for two reasons: first, it actually has a deep meaning to it and second, i just love the lyrics. Days go by I can feel 'em flying Like a hand out the window in the wind as the cars go by It's all we've been given So you better start livin' right now 'Cause days go by Being, a teenager, i have no clue what I'm to do in life, and nor should I, at least not now.
