Rose Funeral – Gods Hideous Creation Lyrics 15 years ago
I think this song could be about Earth as we know it turning into a section of Hell at the end if the Rapture.
There will be much chaos, suffering and the like, and without any sort of relief in sight.

This one of Rose Funeral's best songs. I love the breakdown.

This is basically it.
It seems like some believe that the song is about walking away from God, but it is actually about walking BACK to God.

Oceana – The Tide Lyrics 15 years ago
This song is a referrence to Jesus' return, I am certain of it.

"And his face shown like the sun
Rejoice, rejoice the tide has come."
- by this, it means that Jesus returned to Earth, and his presence blocked every possible distraction. Every knee bows at his arrival.
Christians were celebrating almost as if they were in Heaven already.

"Tide has come to take us all
Tide has come to take us."
-this means that the end has arrived, and nobody can live on Earth (as was once knew) anymore. Everybody will journey to Jesus into Heaven, or they will go to Hell, regretably.

"Take us away to a better place."
-He is extremely excited to enter Heaven, perhaps jaded by his Earthly life.

"When the skin bound to your limbs traces back to home, the sand pulls you back in working through your skull."
-I am not entirely sure, but this could mean that once he leaves his mortal body, he will inherit a new and spiritual body in Heaven. He may also be saying that his mind will be enlightened with knowledge, and it will be purified.

"And I will pray and climb to the highest of highs
To get back to the ground again
And oh God to be home again
With back drop hills and florescent lit skies
Burning images into the backs of your eyes
Into the backs of your eyes."
-He is saying that, since he is in heaven, he will be limitlessly able, with a new and divine body. Also, he will be with the LORD for all
eternity, happy, and without any types of suffering.
He is talking about how incomprehendably wonderful and beautiful Heaven will be, once the Rapture is complete, and Jesus leads him into the Kingdom of God.

"We're all singled by our desires
That love can fix but life builds walls
We're all singled by our desires
That love can fix but life builds walls."
-at the end of the song, he seems to begin discussing something kind of irrelevant to the subject of the song.
He is saying that Earthly desires can "build walls" or set limits, and we can end up
hurting ourselves. He goes on to saying that love, which is a referrence to Godly love (Christians believe that God's love is the most pure, beautiful, and perfect love out of all types of love), can fix all things, and knock down all obstacles. Everyone needs God, yet continue to reject him.

This is how I see the song.

Oceana – Mindless Mindless Lyrics 15 years ago
This song is about society's falling away from the Truth (Holy Bible), and Christians trying to help out those who are without God, and at the same time, defending the Christian faith.

"I'm staring at the cracks, and all the lines you wrote to get me home."
-He's saying that he is comparing the world's liberal and sinful view on things, and he is comparing them to the Holy Bible's guidance, and it's opinions on such things, and ultimately, sticking to the Holy Bible and avoiding temptation.

"It's not over yet;
I'll speak the same until it breaks my jaw,
and it breaks my heart to see you this way."
-He's saying here that even though he is a saved Christian, he will not give up on atheists.

"I'll speak the same until my jaw breaks." He will not stop
defending Christianity, and he will continue to preach to the unsaved. "and it breaks my heart to see you this way." This man is obviously a true Christian, and he has love and sympathy for everyone, including those whom he does not necessarily have the same views as (atheists/agnostics). He does not want to see these people suffering because of Godlessness anymore, and it makes him miserable to know that he could be these people's last and only hope to be saved, and if he fails to convert them, he fails a personal test set before himself, and they will not make it into Heaven. It is obvious that he is failing to save them, so far.

"So I'll pray for the day,
that new things will come to wash these ones away."
-He's hoping and praying to the LORD that these non-believers will see the error in their ways, and begin to live their lives in the right way, for Christ. As he says earlier, the fact that they are destroying their own lives is making him sad as well.

"There's something attractive in a lack of direction,
And you look so lost. And oh you look so lost.
And oh you look so lost. And oh you look so lost."
-He is saying that, even though secularism, immorality, and liberalism is destroying lives, it seems pleasurable, and even has an addictive nature.
"and you look oh so lost." he is possibly talking to a headstrong atheist about religion, and he is pointing out that there is obviously something missing from his/her life.

This is what the song means to me. It's a great song.

Oceana – Reach For The Sky Lyrics 15 years ago
I think this song is about being depressed, or in a bad stage of a person's life (perhaps, not feeling loved?) and then the person becomes a Christian and they finally feel joy like they have never experienced before.

"From the look on your face, and the chains about your neck,
I'm willing to bet you're a prized possession."
-He's saying that the person he is referring to, does not know Jesus, and he/she is very unhappy, and you can tell just by looking at them.
By "the chains about your neck" and "I'm willing to bet you're a prized possession.", he is saying that he can tell that he/she's life is owned by Satan.

"Just give it up.
Just give it your all.
Just give it up."
-He is saying that he/she needs to accept Jesus Christ and repent ASAP. It may also mean that the person really has nothing else to turn towards for relief, and they might as well just "Give it up." after all, what harm would it do, even if it doesn't help?
"This is not the way you were meant to be.
This is not a moment of clarity"
-He is saying that the person has a higher calling, and through God, the person can achieve it. I'm not totally sure what "this is not a moment of clarity" means, but it might mean that the person knows deep down that this is and always has known that God is the key to his/her happiness.

"Your words are taking over mine.
Your words are taking over mine.
They're taking over every feeling I have,
it's all for you."
-The person has given themself to Christ, and his/her words and thoughts are being affected by it.

"Give me your hand now!
This is exactly what it means, to promise.
I'll teach you to breathe."
-the person has given themselves to Chist, and they are learning how to live their life in a more meaningful and joyful manner through Christ. By "this is exactly what it means, to promise." it means that Jesus has successfully fulfilled his promise towards this person.

"Raise your hands to the sky, if you feel alive.
Raise your hands to the sky, if you feel alive."
-The person has handed themselves over to Christ, completely, and their lives are totally transformed. The verses could be a referrence to worship.
It probably means that the person "feels alive" once again. Through Christ, they have found joy and meaning in their lives.

This is my personal favorite song by Oceana, it's beautiful. This is what the song means to me, personally.

Oceana is such a great band. They claim to not be a Christian band, but I can see Christianity and Christian referrences althroughout their songs, which, to me, makes the band twelve times better :)

This song is basically talking about the foolishness of atheism.

"It's hard to breathe when you're choking your self.
It's hard to see through eyes misleading."
-He's basically saying that atheism is a set of foolish beliefs, and in the end, they are only hurting themselves.

"So please, oh please, pick up your feet: I can't carry you."
-He's basically having an argument with one or many atheists, and he's basically at the point where he's begging them to convert to Christianity, because he cares about these atheists.

"In a world of disbelief these words are guidance.
That one should follow."
-Now, he's defending the validity of the Holy Bible. He's saying that, with so many twisted belief systems, secular movements, and general disbelief in society, the Bible is still the truth, and much of society is rejecting the Bible as superstition or whatever, without ever opening up a Bible for themselves and seeing how wonderful the Book really is.

"you're a victim of your own lie.
You're a failure, you're wrong."
-He's basically saying that atheism is just downright wrong, and erroneous.

"We lay our hearts into a pool of filth,
we are lead by false pretenses.

In a world of disbelief these words are guidance."
-He's saying that atheism is full of hypocritical lies, and it leads down a doomed path.
"they lay their hearts in a pool of filth", by this he means that atheists rely on their own understanding, and their morals (if they have any at all) are not accounted for by anything of significance. He is also saying that God will have justice on such disbelief.
by "in a world of disbelief, these words are guidance." he is referring to the previous verse, and he is saying that atheism is a pretentious and foolish belief, and smart atheists will come to realising this.

This is how I see the song.
