To me, this song is more about the harms that religion brings, the way that it blind us("When we cope for our lives with fantasy") and make we be close-minded ("And trust me you will find , the things that you know , will hurt you so") and the confusion that it make with our mind when we face the truth ("You can't deny that anymore, you can deny that no more!"). In this case, the reaper could be the fight of "good" (religion) and bad (the critic, "Devil's design) But i also think it's about depression ("You will wither, in each and every way") and desilusion |
