Cult of Luna – Crossing Over Lyrics 15 years ago
I'm pretty sure that the first portion,
"Traces in snow
A red line grows through and leads me below
Nothing on this side ties me"
describes the act of the narrator cutting his wrists. Wrists are generally pretty white, hence "snow", the cut and bleeding itself = "traces" and "red line", and "leading below" = he's dying because he cut deep, but has no regrets because nothing on this side ties him, he has nothing left "here".

That much of the lyrics are obvious, to me. The latter portion I am not as sure about.

"One step, one glimpse of an eye
One moment can change everything"
That might be a very vague description of the event that turned his life around from better to worse, leading to his self destruction. That's how I feel about it.

"Wait here 'til my words spread across the sky
And into the chambers of every soul"
Him telling those he leaves behind to wait for maybe this song, his suicide note of sorts. Wait for it to be played on people's computers and cd players. Soundwaves spread through the air. Haha dunno...
