this song is the best song i have ever heard that explains youth and innocence of teens. i want to break down this song to what, i believe, each verse means. "We're only young and naive still We require certain skills The mood it changes like the wind Hard to control when it begins" i think is quote is a great opening to the song. simple yet so true. this verse is talking about we are young and naive. we still need to obtain the knowledge for having a brighter future, and skills just to make it through life everyday. It says we are never certain of anything. our "mood" as the song says. but i went farther. we always change out friends, moods, classes, teachers, clothes, styles, hobbies, boyfriends and this is all uncontrollable when it beings. "The bittersweet between my teeth Trying to find the in-betweens Fall back in love eventually Yeah yeah yeah yeah" this verse means youth is bitter sweet. bad things happen for good things to happen after. during those ups and downs we get tried and try and find a comfortable "in-between" to all our drama and stress. on that journey we fall in love and out of it, only to fall back in and right back out. "Can't help myself but count the flaws Claw my way out through these walls One temporary escape Feel it start to permeate" as human being we are all unhappy with what we have, how we look, and out life. As teens, thought, we are extra unhappy. weather it only be a little or a lot we all have insecurities and we all cant help but sit there and stare are them (count the flaws)unhappy thoughts and feelings. we just want an escape to bee free just for a little while. "We lie beneath the stars at night Our hands gripping each other tight You keep my secrets hope to die Promises, swear them to the sky" this verse is my personal favorite. this is the love that every teen want, has, or needs to feel need in this world. they exact meaning of this is just laying with a boy or maybe even a best friend getting close and letting each other in telling secrets and trusting them not to tell. "As it withers Brittle it shakes Can you whisper As it crumbles and breaks As you shiver Count up all your mistakes Pair of forgivers Let go before it's too late Can you whisper Can you whisper Can you whisper Can you whisper" this one is merely about making mistakes. paying for them. feeling like the world is coming to an end needing to feel like its okay. then there is those people that still love you despite your mistakes. Don't regret decisions let it go before it eats you alive. i can say from person experience if you make a mistake try and forgive yourself, because the people that matter have already forgiven you now its just yourself stopping you. This whole song just sums of the average life of a teenager. we are young, naive, indecisive, bittersweet, we fall into love, get heartbroken, fall in love again, finding a way to escape, finding those who matter most, making mistakes, forgiving and forgetting. As human nothing is permanent. master in teaching change your mind. get married get divorced. change your mind and change it again. thanks and let me know what your guys think :) |

these are all great descriptions of this song. i still have yet to figure out what she means by "Noises, I play within my head, Touch my own skin and hope that I'm still breathing, And I think back to when my brother and my sister slept, In an unlocked place the only time I feel safe." this verse left me confused and i could not figure anything about it. this song is great one of her best. its so freeing. 10 out of 10. |

I think the meaning of this is about how he had so many good times with someone summer romance but as time goes by he questioning weather it still there or its fading away. But the he will always carry the memories with him and they had "nothing to lose but everything to gain" is saying they couldnt have lost anything but made something special like a relationship or a great friendship and he saying that all of that "it was worth it in the end" they are still on and happy |

I love this song. I listen to it so many times its crazy. this song is all about her hometown which is this situation is the beautiful and busy town of london. "Are the wonders of my world" she is saying everything there are the wonder of her world. My favorite verse is "Shows that we ain't gonna stand shit Shows that we are united Shows that we ain't gonna take it Shows that we ain't gonna stand shit Shows that we are united" to me it means in her ton everyone is united so its like the perfect place for her. |
