| Black Anvil – L.T.H.L.T.K. Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| According to one of their interviews, L.T.H.L.T.K. stands for "longer the hate longer the knife" | |
| Hatebreed – Pollution Of The Soul Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| The first thing that comes to my mind as the polution of the soul is consumerism and materialism that is promoted almost everywhere. | |
| Hatebreed – Merciless Tide Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
It's about some kind of force that judges and punishes "All those who've done wrong and believe it's right". (Probably those who've done wrong intentionally as well.) But what is that force and does it really exist? But maybe that's just about making huge mistakes in life and facing the cosequence later. |

| Hatebreed – Words Became Untruth Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
This song could be about lies and the harm they can do whether to the liar himself or to other people. "Mouth sewn, hands bound But do you cease the torment" - I think that these lines tell about the bonds and restrictions that lying imposes on the liar (or maybe to another victim). But ceasing the torment (torment is almost everything described in this song) could be stopping these lies and freeing yourself from that disguise. |

| Hatebreed – Every Lasting Scar Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| When Jamey talks about this song on the DVD material that was included in the special edition of this album, he calls it a "hardcore upbeat anthem". He also says the song was inspired by a show that was called "probably the single biggest hardcore show of all time". It shows his feeling about hardcore. | |
| Hatebreed – As Damaged As Me Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I have no idea whether Jamey has really been like that in his life (since the phrase "as damage as me" refers to himself), but this is definitely the way he wants the listeners (us) not to be. | |
| Hatebreed – Through The Thorns Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
This is about perseverance. He can keep going through any difficulties as long as he believes in himself and his "voice inside" tells him that what he is doing is right. This also reminds me of the phrase written on my Zoo York hoodie - "Practice truth fear nothing". |

| Hatebreed – No halos for the heartless Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
The idea is quite clear here - the dishonest have become the rulers of our world instead of rotting in prisons where is the right place for them. But should we praise them just because they have the power? No! Judge them depending on what they have really done and what they really are. Then you won't see any halos for them. And Jamey also makes this song strike every listener more personally with the last line ("You never did a fucking thing in your life to be revered") - think of what YOU have done to see if you are better than those thieves and degenerates that have "risen up onto a throne of lies". |

| Hatebreed – Everyone Bleeds Now Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
This could be about something bad that has happened to somebody Jasta knows. It's not himself hence these lines: "And now I'm forced to see.... You fucking bleed now" "Only a cursed love could retain" makes me think that it really was a terribly unsuccessful love. Everybody around sees the suffering of the "lover" but can't (or don't want to) help and this hurts them as well. That's why "Everyone fucking bleeds now". If I'm wrong, it could also be about something else. For example many things in politics are done "Underneath the veil". Anyway, it's about the direct or indirect involvement of other people ("Everyone fucking bleeds now") in the described affliction. |

| Hatebreed – Hands Of A Dying Man Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I don't know if Jamey has really held the hands of a dying man but here he is talking about a personal (since the last 4 lines) experience that changes the way you view and judge things. He discovers the nature of death (probably): "Death devours never resting Never fed, never repenting Robbed of justice, stripped of faith Accepting this all is what it must take" and it makes him see things from other point of view: "So pass your judgment And cast your stones But only once you've held the hands of a dying man I'll grant your forgiveness For the wrong you've done Once you've felt the coldest touch From the hands of a dying man" But he also takes advantage of it in some way. It makes him stronger ("Strengthen...") and keeps him going as he keeps in mind "those who carry on" and what they have done (the "dying man" was probably one of them). |

| Hatebreed – In Ashes They Shall Reap Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I think this song says that everybody determines their own life (you'll reap what you sowed) and that in order to be successful you have to be confident and certain. Doubt an fear could be the "flames" that turn all your hopes and efforts into dust. | |
| Hatebreed – Every Lasting Scar Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| You must have mistaken reading from the booklet because mine says "Is out there for the taking" instead of "Is out there for the taken". | |
| Hatebreed – Between Hell And A Heartbeat Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I think this is about the moral degradation of people around you and the [most likely] subsequent degradation of yourself. When you see betrayal and frigidity on every step, you start losing your trust in people. Eventually, you become cold and empty too ("Put your ear to my chest and hear nothing"). This is the movement from "heartbeat" (normal life with love etc.) to "hell" (alienation and distrust). | |

| Hatebreed – Not My Master Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I'm not completely sure but this song could be about being influenced by others too much. "If it came down to life or death would you even make a choice" This line shows certainity in making a decision. If you depend on others too much, you feel uncertain when you need to decide on something by yourself. But in any choice you could be as confident as in a hypothetical life/death decision. That's why you "Just keep telling yourself..." and don't listen to somebody who pretends to be wiser than you are (they are not your master). Especially, if others say that this day is NOT worth living, your fight is NOT worth fighting, your hope is NOT worth hoping. Self-confidence and creed will keep you on the right track. That's how I get it. |

| Hatebreed – Become The Fuse Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
In my view, the purpose of this song is to encourage people to take action in spite of opposition ("You know what is holding you captive Is in conflict with you perception") and passivity of others ("Silence can never be divided"). If you succed, your action triggers change (e. g. change in society or anywhere else). That's how you become "the catalyst of action". And your belief and coviction are the only things that will help you to persevere. ("From this day on, may the torch inside always stay Ignited with burning conviction") |
