I actually don't agree with any of the interpretations above. Like he sings in the refrain, it is about an "internal suicide", i.e. that the situation is killing him. "In three years, 'Decide' is all I'll ever hear." is much more likely to mean that he is told to decide between his music career (touring and musician lifestyle etc.) and his family/wife. Still he wants to be strong and he continues to push on without settling for one, but it is killing him inside, and he is well aware of it (doing it to himself), therefore he calls the song Suicide! :) |
