ok this is easily my favorite stone temple pilots song and ive just had my mind opened up to the possibly true meaning of this song.... i think britishspank is right that this song is about robert deleo and ive never thought of it that way but it makes sense... ive done lots and lots of research on STP and anyone else who has knows that STP broke up for like a month or two before they got together again to record purple... mainly the reason for that was because scott and robert deleo were constantly fighting all thetime... its been well documented that they werent getting along very well during the end of the core tour... and it makes sense to because check this shit out... on the song creep scott references robert deleo on the line "everybody run, bobbys got a gun" which is about robert deleo... if you look on wikipedia for the song creep youll see theres a small mention that says there was some kinda incident with robert deleo and a gun maybe he got pulled over with one in his car sometime or soemthing... but anyways it fits the title silvergun superman... im sure scott used some of his bitterness about his nongettingalongness with robert deleo in this song and he wrote this song about robert and probaly covered it up and told the band it was about something else... the title could be mocking robert deleo....
