The something that is "missing" is a relationship with God. The lovers(pleasures)of this world will satisfy you for a short time, but in the end they will you "bleeding alone". I think "the queen" can possibly be the symbolic Queen of Babylon mentioned in the Bible, who represents all the lusts and pleasures of the world. Very powerful song BTW. GO FLYLEAF! |

This song to me is Solomon's Song of Songs in a song(lol). Lacey's engagement had strong influence to the lyrics of this song, but it can't be seen as only when she got married, hence the "How He's laying down His life" part, which directly connects Jesus's sacrifice for us. So in essence Lacey has combines the feelings of her engagement with the meaning of Song of Songs. Very Beautiful. |
