Sleeping At Last – Naive Lyrics 15 years ago
I am a religious person, and though this mentions God and other religious themes, I have this feeling that it is more about human actions rather than religion.

I personally think that the meaning is that, even though we grow wiser with age, we are still unknowing and learn every single day. We are naive until the day we die. And even then, there is more to learn.

We make mistakes. Some more than others. But at the end of the day, it is only because we are human; it is how we learn.

So many look at a situation with such a stubborn outlook and never bother to consider another's point of view.

If we take our time to notice this, become more forgiving of others, and just accept everything for the way that it is, we can realize how beautiful life is.

When all is said and done, love is the most important aspect of our entire life.

Kate Nash – Nicest Thing Lyrics 15 years ago
Personally, I think quite a few people have it wrong.
It isn't about lust. Or love. Or much romance at all.

It is about a man who this woman has had a "fling", for lack of a better word, with for a while, and she just wants more out of their relationship.

It suggests that they've slept with one another in the line:
"I wish you had a favorite beauty spot that you loved secretly
'Cause it was on a hidden bit that nobody else could see"

They could easily be "friends with benefits", and the man is content with that, but the woman needs more from their relationship.

She probably will never get what she wants.
But isn't that how it always is?

Songs with raw, simple feelings set to a nice slow melody like this are absolutely beautiful. So easy to relate to as well. Well, for those who have been there.
