Its one of my favorites :) I think it means she loves this guy so much she's telling him she's his 'biggest fan', and if he doesnt like her, she'll follow him 'until you love me', like a paparazzi. A photo of them together means more than anything to her, although she doesnt know the meaning of fame and possessions. :) She wants to speed ahead with her career, so she advises, "Dont stop for anyone." She also says "we're plastic, but we'll still have fun." Models, musicians, and famous people have plastic (credit cards and riches) and they may be fake to each other, but they still have fun. |

| Personally, (and I dont think this has been said yet?) I dont interpret the song about a boyfriend. Perhaps its about her being a difficult teen to her parents, and in their anger, they say shes stupid or useless. When shes upset, she thinks about how they think shes annoying sometimes, but her boyfriend likes her for so many reasons. | |

I have a very different view on this song. It's a sort of literal view. What my thought was the song is about competiton and someone or some people always seem to 'have it made', and 'got it better than what anyone's told you'. Its a bit discouraging, because it says the rivals or the competitors will have all the right moves and all the right faces (perhaps a card playing ref?), meaning whoever is against them is 'going down', because either they dont have those things that their competitors have or simply cant change into the competitors, or stoop to their level. For instance, "i know i could never be someone that looks like you...i know i could never fake someone that sounds like you." also the part where they sing: "do you think im special, do you think im nice?" they're seeking an opinion from their competitors? |
