The Black Dahlia Murder – Necropolis Lyrics 15 years ago
This song could also be about a person who cannot pass on after his death. Who is trapped to journey the EArth for all eternity as only a shade of a man. And his Earth is a dead city (literal translation of necropolis) He became that way in the shadow of the tree he was buried under. Because of his torture of being a shade of a man he begins to lose faith and trust in God/other deity. However, he does ask for God to destroy our race, because of his chance to reflect on who we really are, and he sees up as a bunch of faceless liars. And after the apocalypse he will still be just a corpse buried in the ground.

So I think Im either complete spot on with that, OR way off.

Job For A Cowboy – Knee Deep Lyrics 15 years ago
For the people that think this is about Jesus and God Im sorry but your wrong. You can try to connect a few lines with it but you can realize how vague your connections are. And if you look, God isnt obsessed with killing in the old testament. Genesis is about the first human beings on Earth, Exodus about the Hebrews troubles in Egypt. Im not going to go throught them all but yea, Its definetly about an addict father who kills his son.

The Black Dahlia Murder – Christ Deformed Lyrics 15 years ago
Its definetly about the molestations and such in the church. But, however like that guy said before about how he sort of a satirical approach to these lyrics, means he could just be mocking satanists or just using a song like this as a shock factor, a way to weed out the true fans from the people that are faking listening to it. This isnt my personal favourite from the album simply because there is so much of Trevors growling and Ive been always more of a fan of his highs.

The Black Dahlia Murder – Eyes Of Thousand Lyrics 15 years ago
Great song. I originally thought this song was about the sea, before I saw these lyrics. I though where it said "Lost inside" was "Lost at sea" for some reason. However, if that lyric was that, it could still make sense. With the saying "the sea is a harsh mistress" it could be interpreted that way. But, still there is way too many spider references to think otherwise. Once again AMAZING song.
