| Matchbox Twenty – So Sad, So Lonely Lyrics | 11 years ago |
|
You guys are crazy. This song is about one thing and one thing only; CATS. I know I know, it sounds crazy, but my better half (not even the biggest MB20 fan) listened to it once and knew it. It's in the words, it's in the beat, it's in the vibe. Not to mention Rob Thomas is an avid animal lover who founded/runs a non-profit dedicated in part to animals. Yeah it's about cats. He fooled you. |

| Matchbox Twenty – She's So Mean Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| This one is pretty straight forward. It seems as though Matchbox 20 is trying to appeal to a younger crowd. Hopefully they retained some of their old style on the new album, I had always kinda hoped they'd get back together and I know they could fill the ampitheatre again here in Virginia Beach. | |
| The Beatles – Yellow Submarine Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I'm no expert here, but I seriously doubt The Beatles released this as a childrens song. I read an article a long time ago about songs with a hidden drug reference and they specifically detailed this song. From what I read, it was about a commonly prescribed downer, maybe for ADHD or something back in the 60's. The pill was abused often and easily attainable. Being that it was a downer and a yellow capsule spawned it's nickname "Yellow Submarine" as the shape is similar to that of a submarine, and a downer brings you down like a submarine. I wish I remembered the actual name of the drug, but as I said I read the article years ago. | |
| Hootie & the Blowfish – Let Her Cry Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
It's a bit misunderstood on this forum. Pretty simple song. He fell in love with a chick, he doesn't love her anymore. He wants to break up with her FOR WHATEVER REASON (not specified)... The problem is he's a bit of a softy. When he tries, he feels bad for her. She gets emotional and he takes her back. He also weakens to his own emotions. Regardless, he takes her back in. Let her cry (don't comfort her) Let her sing if it eases all her pain (again give her some space to deal) Let her go (don't go chasing after her) Let her be (once it's done, let it be done) |
