@[broncojohn99:53548] Bob sang about the vile history of Christianity, read a history book about your religion instead of having the bible read to you.

“Build your penitentiary, we build your schools
Brainwash education; to make us the fools.
Hate is your reward for our love,
Telling us of your God above…” - Crazy Bald Heads

Arcade Fire – Modern Man Lyrics 2 years ago
Men of the past have always had to live up to this strong brawny archetype, this role has been passed on from generation to generation, making it easy to acquire opportunity. Today's modern man is more than just strength and brawn, and it's much more difficult to inherit opportunities simply because of said qualities.

Fiona Apple – Criminal Lyrics 14 years ago
If you were a true fan of Fiona's, you would probably know that almost all of her music is a bout bad relationships and her troubled mind, to think that this was about child molestation, god or anything religious is stupid and literal.

Sounds like he's comparing a failed relationship to the hard work spiders put into keeping their webs together.

Local Natives – Shape Shifter Lyrics 15 years ago
I take it as a fight between the ego and the subconscious, he is humbled by knowing and practicing what feels right (probably Buddhism) but randomly shape shifting at the egos command (as most people do), then feeling guilty for doing so. He's wanting to change but not sure how too let go.
