when caleb says "don't knock it" i think he's saying "don't knock it til you try it"...he's apologizing to someone and as a way to make that person understand and forgive him he's basically saying that "everyone makes mistakes and F's up but don't be too quick to judge me when you've made the same mistake at some point (hence the "you've been there before")." Regardless of the meaning...it's an amazing song..the first time i heard it was actually 2 days ago.i'm going through a breakup right now, but as soon as it came on the radio i just smiled 'cause it was soo amazing, and it relates to my life to a T right now: i messed up,and im sorry...but forgive me because one day you'll make a mistake and be the one asking for forgiveness. |
