Matchbox Twenty – How Far We've Come Lyrics 15 years ago
The meaning is much more deep than global warming?

Weezer – Buddy Holly Lyrics 15 years ago
I think it's just about them being the complete opposite, him being a bit of a reject (Buddy Holly) and her being popular (Mary Tyler Moore).. So people look down on them being together, with her being out of his league, but the song shows how he couldn't care less about what people think of them being together, because they love eachother.
Something like that anyways..

The Killers – Human Lyrics 15 years ago
It is 'Dancer'
By 'Dancer' It means, do we only follow someone else's steps, just like sheep do, or we just follow everyone else, or are we 'human' which means we think for our selves and make our own steps.

The Killers – Mr. Brightside Lyrics 15 years ago
Now this is just my interpretation of the song, i don't claim it's right and i don't claim it's wrong, because one song can mean something different to each and every person

"It started out with a kiss", kiss also meaning to touch gently or to come into light contact. He then says "How did it end up like this", going from light contact with her (possibly something like a hug) as a sign of affection to falling head over heels for her. She shows affection for him when alone, making him think that maybe she likes him as well. He then says "And she's calling a cab", This is sometimes an act done by bartenders when they believe their customers to be too drunk, maybe she believes him to be 'lovedrunk' so to get him away from the source of his drunkness as a bartender would; being her, she starts to avoid him, hoping he will lose interest, now theres this other guy she's with sometimes who he views as 'cooler' than him so he says "while he's having a smoke", which can be seen as 'cool' by some young people, this links to the point where he says "got to, got to be down, because i want it all" implying he wants to act 'cool' so people and this girl in particular see him as they see this other guy. He then goes on to speak about how the way she acts with this other guy, is more affectionate than it is with him, so he thinks she might possibly like this other dude instead, he can imagine them being together "But she's touching his chest now, he takes off her dress now" and hates the thought of it, even though it's only in his head, "and it's all in my head", it still seems real to him. After feeling disgusted, "and my stomach sick", about the way she treats him, he wishes she would let him go, but she has some sort of way in which to keep him hooked on her. He then goes onto how the jealousy is taking control of him and makes a reference to "sick lullabies" which can mean memories of a time with someone, usually bad ones, this also makes me think he must spend a lot of time around her to get these memories brought back to him, perhaps they go to school together. "Choking on your alibis" could mean he wants to tell her how he feels, at least to simply get a yes or no answer from her, but always chokes on his words and can't, due to him being quiet and shy, which would exlain why he finds it hard to be dominant over the other dude. "But it's just the price i pay", He blames himself for becoming attached to this girl in the first place and letting himself believe he had a chance.Next he says "Destiny is calling me, open up my eager eyes, because I'm mr Brightside". This shows that even though he really likes this girl he decides he's going to move on for his own good and he's going to try and be as positive about it as he can.

"I'm coming out of my cage and I've been doing just fine", after moving on from the girl he's came out of his cage a little and life is treating him nicely. He refers back to the "got to, got to be down", so perhaps people see him as a bit 'cooler' than before, including the girl he used to like. So she starts to spend time with him again and he foolishly lets himself believe that now he's a bit more in her league than the last time and he has a chance, so once again she has him hooked. From there the song goes onto repeat itself, showing she has him stuck in this unbreakable pattern which links back to the phrase "let me go".

The song finishes with the phrase "i never" repeated three times, showing that no matter how much he tries to win this girl he's never had the kind of relationship he wants with her, and probably never will.

I also believe this song has no clear structure, hence why i didnt put the lyrics into theit exact order ^.^
