If this were a song about a man making fun of how he is using women, it would be considered sexist and crude. Where is the sexism now then, eh? |

Trying to make fun of censors. That's it. Nothing deeper. But yet the way they did it was so deep...good bad. Do any of you know three members have college degrees..? I wouldn't count them as a sleazy band just yet...they know what they're doing. |

This song is in no way shape or form gratifying sex. It's a pop song, that makes fun of pop songs. The idea that pop songs are more so written about sex than anything else. They are writing a pop song that glorifies sex, in a very off the wall manner. How in the world could you think that someone would seriously write a song glorifying sex when he offers his lover to do her doggy style so that they could both watch X-Files??? It's satire.
They write what they find funny. FUNNY. They are in no way saying "YAY SEX!" they are just writing for laughs. |

It's supposed to make you cringe. That's it. If you like it, if you love the idea of killing children, then you've fallen into Jello's joke. He's making fun of how acceptable violence has become in our society.
Also, yes the interview where he is at the burger joint with the British reporter, he does mention it's about how society makes people want to do the said act of killing children. If you haven't watched the interview, I would recommend it, simply for laughs at how the interviewer walks away during the interview. |

This song is not about "posers ruining the scene." At least not in the manner of which everyone here has mentioned. It is discussing how the punk scene, at the time, went from a group of people who wanted to get together and speak intellectually about the world and government and ect. and make an earnest statement against it. As the years progressed, "punk" just turned into a fashion statement, a fad. Punk originated as an intellectual state of mind where alternative ideas were appreciated and fighting the ignorance and cruelty of the modern society were at the utmost importance. It then turned into groups of people who personified just as much hate, i.e. everyone here who has said anything in regards to "posers" and how much they hate them, as they originally cried out against. Also being yourself started to slip more and more into a very common fashion sense and mental state. No original thought was brought forward, as far as Jello was concerned, and thusly, this movement he so much deeply believed in turned into a standstill of sheep following the alternative herd.
A last little bit, if you know anything about the band, near the end Jello hated the punk scene because of it: A. turning into a fashion sense B. turning into another ignorant trend to control people C. caused more violent crimes than actual benefits for humanity and D. was turning into a hardcore scene lead by skin head racists. |

Just watched the video, and I noticed she wears a lot of elaborate outfits throughout the 9 minutes of...whatever you want to call it. I can't help but question, could not the money that is spent on her lavish outfits that she wears for what, 30 seconds worth of film, be used to maybe, I dunno, help feed the hungry? Are we so lost in our society that we worship artists who'd rather spend money continuing a stereotype that women should wear sexy looking expensive clothes instead of the artists who are out there actually trying to make a change for the world? Biggest pop star indeed. And pop has done nothing but keep the masses distracted to what the real problems of the world really are. Enjoy being brainwashed by this filth. |
