The lyrical genius of Roger Waters epitomizes in the line like, “Flames are all long gone but the pain lingers on”. You don’t need to really sing it. It has enough music in itself. For the meaning of the song, I dont have much to add to it. Much have been said and written as per ones own interpretation and understanding of the song(s) in terms of how the song touches him or how one relates oneself to the songs. |

Hi Crazymanmichael, Thanks for the input. Fairport conventions are one of the best ever. I am looking for a couple of song by fairport convention. I had them but never knew the song title and now i have lost the files. One of the songs has lines like...."Come to the dinner (missed the word after that)....Table is laiden? high...Fat bellies and hungry little ones"..something like that. The refrain ends like, "Some get nothing though there's plenty to share". Another one goes like this....."The times you impressed me the most are the times when you dont try, when you dont even try". |
