To me it sounds like it is one of those impossible relationships, they want each other, they lust after each other, it is so crazy it makes them feel things they never felt before, makes them do things they wouldn't do if they were not inlove. At the same time it sounds as though she feels like he is playing her, like it is all a game, she wants it to be total and she doesn't want him to give up on them even if it is hard sometimes. but he should not deceive her he should just admit that he needs her just like she needs him. |

If it was written by a man it must also mean it isn't about a boyfriend being stollen... Maybe it wasnt written about a lesbian experience but it sound like it when a girl is singing it, that was the first thing i thought about when i hears it.. the boy friend theory is actually pretty reasonable as well but it must also be looked at from a woman's point of view. |

I actually agree with you, it seems as though he is having a hidden relationship with someone who doesnt want anyone to know about it. He feels like it's all lies and it hurts but it would hurt even more if that person would leave. It is possible that his lover is another man and that this other guy wants to keep it a secret, but the singer doesn't want to keep wearing this disguise. |
