wow, looks like this song is actually pretty old! i just found it now, because my ex boyfriend and i were talking about good bands, and he reccomended marianas trench. i just fell in love with the band, they're GREAT! and i just love this song. :} as for the meaning, i've got no idea.:)

Switchfoot never fails to amaze me with their GORGEOUS lyrics :) Seriously, I'm only 13, but listening to Switchfoot has given me such a new insight on how to live my life. I found this band shortly after I found God...and this band just makes me feel great listening to it, because HEY, I'm not the only one who feels like this! :) Basically, this song is about how things in this world, like material things and money, don't matter overall...what matters is the people and how we treat them and how we live our life :) So live life to its fullest <333

Ahhh, this song...is beautiful. :) Here's what it means to me: All Christians will realize that they truly don't belong here, they belong up in heaven with the Lord. That's the letdown. Yet, it's so beautiful because you know that you'll be with God after this life. So, we truly don't belong here, but let's make the best of it. Spread the word of the Lord! (I'll carry a cross and a sad song, where I don't belong....) Such an amazing song...ahhh <<3

LVH...I think this song is about God, but I don't think it's about how great God is. It's about how frustrated someone can get when God doesn't find them when they really need Him. It's about the challenges in your life making your faith hard to hold on to. Even good Christians think sometimes "Why would God do this to me?" And sometimes it can be hard to keep your Christian faith but if you do, it will pay off. <3

From this song, I got the impression that it shows anger and frustration towards God. I remember reading a story in a Chicken Soup for The Soul book that said that God doesn't show up when you want him to..he works on his own schedule. You can search for him for years, but you may not find him..because you don't find God, He finds you. He finds some quicker than others. This song is about all the horrible hardships in life, and how sometimes people show anger to God for not helping them out when they really needed Him. God found me quickly...I'm only 13 and a half years old, and God found me just before I turned 13. I had so many difficulties in life, and I still do, but God helps me through them. I know that God found me early and he hasn't found a lot of my friends yet, and that's so hard for me knowing that...a lot of them aren't as happy as I am and a lot of times, I just wanna take away all their pain and give them my happiness. Being religious at a young age, at least I know that I'm rubbing off on people. The best feeling in the world to me is talking to someone about God and knowing they're listening, knowing that I'm spreading God's word. I've been praying for God to find my friends...especially one who isn't in good shape. He's a high schooler, but very short due to having cancer as a kid. He's threatened to kill himself before. I know I'm so lucky....that God found me so quick. My friends who know how dedicated I am to Him and how happy I am are searching for God. Because even though God does work on his own schedule, He will find you quicker if you want to be found <3 That's what this song means to me...I got a little off track but that is how I can relate to this song. It means a lot to me.
