| I think she was dating a guy (or a girl) and they had a three way with another girl. (the song does not mention a man. we just assume it does.) She had feelings for the other girl and that interrupted the main relationship. she speaks of 'her hand in the dark'. who is 'her'? and why are 'they' all so bitter now? something terrible happened. and she wants to go home. when 'home' is mentioned in a song like this, its a place they loved but made a terrible mistake at. all they want is things to go back to the way they were. . their was definitely infidelity, and her heart is hurting. i feel the hurt in the song. i have not heard a song that hurts like this in the longest. i LOVE this song. | |
