I never really gave this song a chance, at first. But wow, after hearing it and feeling it, very deep song. Didn't expect this from Corey Taylor, at all. Just a beautiful song, you guys are pretty much on point with the interpretation. Pretty much a broken relationship, that he wanted much more out of, but has to give up and walk away from. I can relate. Good work, song. |

I totally agree with you. Despite all of the people that hate Kanye and his music, along with some of his crazy antics, I really love his music and feel that he's a one of a kind artist. That being said, I really love this song, it's a much different style to Kanye. This song is very humbling. He just cannot be content with "true" love, without living with some sort of temptation. For some reason, this song takes me back to "Flashing Lights". |

And yes, I do realize that the lyrics may sound a little cliche and it's been done before, but hey, there's nothing worse than a wicked relationship or past experience with someone to drive your emotions into this. Happens a lot to these artists. Chino's alive, he's human. |

I really dig this song too. It's not often that Deftones does something like this. But, I do see similarities in this song, along with "Be Quiet and Drive", "Cherry Waves", and "Ever" by Team Sleep.
To me, I feel that this song is about a girl, ex-wife maybe? Sounds like he's reminiscing, wanting things back. "Picture hours out from land, in tune with our dreams", like he's saying imagine us together, away from it all, in tune and in focus on ourselves, and nothing but. And the part, "Take me one more time, take me one more wave, take me one last ride", he's saying lets give it one more shot, one more chance. I don't know, I could be wrong. That's the way I perceive it. |
