| Avenged Sevenfold – The Wicked End Lyrics | 12 years ago |

To combat some of the earlier post here. This song is about the Rapture. Avenged Sevenfold has done multiple songs about the rapture. Everyone explanation of this song is pretty much wrong and they reflect their beliefs. DO your reseach. Avenged sevenfold likes to take ideas from the bible because believe it or not their is some narly things in there aside from the stories we herd in Sunday School. On on to the break down. I'm just going to quote the dead giveaways hear. "We've grown into numbers six hundred sixty six", "Fell sorrow for mankind's chance to survive", and "We won't be here tomorrow, hold on to me for one last time." The first quote is a reference to the book of Revelations. The next quote is talking about the last chance to be saved. The last quote pretty much straight forward saying that it's the last day of earth. Now you may ask what about the rest of the song.is mainly just a story to add depth to song about a christian couples last days on earth. It's mainly there just to add depth to the song. Now onto the argument is mocking or supporting Christianity. Neither because Ax7 use the bible for inspiration as I stated before. They do this because in all honesty they are trying to think outside the box, and what's more outside the box besides the parts of the bible that aren't usually talked about like revelations. It's in interesting topic that really gets you thinking philosophically about religion. Do you believe the outlandish hear or take that leap of faith and believe in it. |

This body's left the soul - he killed the girl Careful of drifting off Now losing taste and touch Turning pale blue learning into say This body's left the soul The brain needs oxygen Can't sneak around this bait His catacomb has got me by the chin This body's left the soul -he locks her in a container and she slowly dies from having no oxygen Could we have known Never would I, helped to nail down With nothing to gain Here's the clincher, this should be you Now saturate, and touch Now saturate, the earth Could we have known Never would I, helped to nail down (i'll stand for nothing less) With nothing to gain Here's the clincher, this should be you (made cold and crippled) This happened to be, never changing Holding inside (never stand again), the phobia viewed Made cold and crippled, ending it all Now saturate, the earth -he realizes she is to beautiful to keep and what he has done is wrong and releases her believing that everyone needs to see her beauty and |

| your all wrong... they said in an interview that it was about a kid that collects butterflies and then collected a girl and keeps her in a container then he realizes she's to beautiful to keep and he releases her, so basically it's saying if you love something sometimes you have to set it free | |

| I don't think any of their songs are about relationships mainly because they make fun of bands that sing about that in interviews and actually say hey if we sing about about relationships we might get more chicks, i think a lot of their lyrics are very simple they're just messing with us because they said in another interview its really funny to see what people say our songs are about | |
