The lyrics are completely wrong.....This song is about Ben, the lead singer, and his suffering from paranoia...He's either having a conversation with himself in his head or with someone on the phone....In my opinion it's him having a conversation in his head about the things that could happen going to visit family on the holidays.... It starts with him making excuses about being in a super cold remote place all the way to the end where people are asking him if he knows the family member who just called on the phone....The correct lyrics are below... I'm shaking awful I'm shaking, asshole And rather remote? We're slow to follow.... The snowy cover... But we recover from though (both?) I hear the last line as "every day and night the banana peels the truth"...Meaning with every song and every performance a little more truth about who he (the banana) really is gets peeled away... Just what I hear/think anyway... |
