| This song made a grown man cry (me). A few days ago I was learning to play this song on the guitar, and I started crying like a baby. I lost my wife almost 3 years ago, and at that moment it was like God was trying to tell me something through this song. He was saying that when my wife was dying, in excruciating pain, in my most desperate moments, I would pray. Many times even though I prayed, my faith was weak. I didn't know if God was listening. He told me that he was listening! I stood by my wife till the end. i cleaned and changed her wounds, I held the bucket when she vomited, I lied down next to her when she was in the hospital, I encouraged her to keep fighting, until God felt it was time to take her. God gave me the strength to do all those things. I look back and I can't imagine how I could have held on as long as I did. I now realize that even though I thought I was alone, I was not. He couldn't stop the rain, but he held me till it went away. | |
