The strings signify the cries of the addict. But the band did conceal that by making Mike and Joe go in and add words that made it sound fun. |

Who's heard of the Charles Manson Murders? The house where that all went down... that's where this song was written. When I hear this song, I find a new meaning to it. It makes me feel sorry for everything I've ever done. It helps me understand that after everything you can do to feel better, you can still feel like crap. :( |

This song is so beautiful. I believe it can be taken like this: It is sung from multiple points of view of a person addicted to something(probably drugs) The first verse shows the person getting high for the first time yet subconsiously knowing they're gonna get screwed over for it. The second verse shows how they eventually begin to like the feeling of being high. It also shows that they are going to be okay with dying if that is what will happen to them. The last verse(which is so amazing) is, to me, about how the person could be watching from heaven, their own funeral perhaps? I imagine it that way, which kind of fits the song. And the video shows through the whole black/white thing that we all go through turmoil eventually. The chorus to me is a wrap-up of all the perspectives in the song, on the subject of the person dying from an drug O.D. (that's my guess) |

I want anyone who reads this to go find this song, but Live from Milton Keynes. I personaly believe it would have been a number 1 hit, if it came out like that. I am always on the verge of tears when I hear it, especially at the end. |
