"Opens it theres nothing there is only left over tears. 'Mom and dad had no right' she screams. As the anger runs down both of her cheeks." -- I always thought this meant she had a razor, but her parents found it and took it away. But then she cuts herself with a knife. I personally thought that the 'he' was a friend rather than God. But this is an amazing song. Very brooding, deep, with a great sense of hope. Between The Trees aren't nearly as famous as they should be. |

I personally think this song is about an addiction of some sort, weather it be self harm or alcohol. "Though I've tried to forget, you're all that I am." --- The singer improved and thought it was over, but relapsed and now thinks they will never be free. --- "Constantly ignoring the pain consuming me. But this time it's cut too deep. I'll never stray again" |
