There is people in a picture Hanging on the hall wall We watch them cross the desert from an armchair in the hall We saw the world from the edge of our seat We danced with the harem and drank with shieks The man on the back of the camels were following me And we make ourselves a home at the foot of the steps Blankets and old wooden chairs and we stayed there We laid there, the room got smaller We begged for water but went for air So we ran away from our old winter home The carpet was sand and our lamp was the sun So let's get outside cause we've been inside for too long And we take a drive and the buildings all turn to trees And after a while we find ourselves down by the sea The beach was a desert outside in an old magazine The sheiks and the harem were under the waves The camels had all washed away And no one is happier And nothing is free So I think to myself we should go and get us a drink |

| From the lyrcis, I feel it's about him being used or turned down by a girl, but he's not even that upset that she "played his heart" because "the way she played was art", and that she was playing games with him, but he was so lost in his desire he didn't notice | |

(There's something that's invisible, There's some things you can't hide Try detect you when I'm sleeping In a wave you say goodbye . . .) |

I interperet this song as find someone who is so perfect to you and every way, and feeling lucky that they're in your life. "I wonder what it is/ that I did to make you move/ in across the way from me/" And how she's so amazed that someone got rid of this perfect girl. "I hope I never figure out who broke your heart/ and if I do/ if I do..." But great song, I was addicted as soon as I heard it. |
