Pillar – Rewind Lyrics 15 years ago
Nick, that may be English's rule but "Him", "He", "You" are references to GOD/Christ/Holy Spirit. GOD calls Himself, "I Am, I Am". Which is His name, && capitalizing "Am" isn't correct but that's what GOD did. It's how you tell when you speak of man or GOD, && that's the best way to write things casually when talking about GOD because if not people will get confused from using so much pronouns.

Pillar – Rewind Lyrics 15 years ago
firetoSteel0423 && geezcake,

GOD is all=powerful && He does things in His time, but GOD won't force people to do things they don't want. We have free will && so instead of the guy accepting GOD's calling for him or a change GOD wants, the guy refused. GOD wants us to praise Him whole-heartedly, not half or forced... Doing things without meaning is useless to GOD && the Bible clearly states this in the various books.

As for the song,

The guy wasn't living for Christ, but for himself && hurt GOD through it, because GOD may be GOD but He has feelings && His love for us being rejected hurts Him all the time.

"If I could rewind, watch all my life
Just pass me by, I could see You
If I could rewind, I'd take back the lies
And all of those times I hurt You

"I don't know if I'll ever know exactly how much that I hurt You
Knowing that hurts me everyday
If I could rewind, I would take it away
And not make You wait, and I won't walk away"

We hurt GOD so much when we reject Him, && this song is about that. Rejecting GOD's love, denying Him in our lives for whatever reason it may be (family, friends, lovers, popularity, wealth, etc) && it all adds up. We do it without thinking sometimes && it's hitting the guy how bad he was && how much he betrayed GOD's trust. The guy had the option to go to GOD but he didn't, instead he left && followed a life that he wanted to lead && not have GOD lead. It's also saying how GOD has always been in his life, even though he didn't see it at the time, GOD has been there. Which happens a lot as well to everyone, we don't realize how much GOD is in our life until we stop && look back (this happened especially for me). In the beginning he said...

"It seems just like yesterday was the first time that I heard You call my name
Since then, so much has changed
I'm still the same man that I was before"

Which means he was Christian but not living the life, he was doing enough to get buy but not really living for GOD. Which is why he heard GOD's voice but didn't change, there was no growth, no desire to get closer. Which also happens a lot to Christians sometimes, we turn away from GOD && allow sin to be the main focus in our lives despite GOD's warning or desire to be with us && help us.

"I wanna take back all those lies
I wanna take back all those times
I wanna show You with my life that I'm here for You"

That stanza is about wanting to show GOD you love Him, even though you can't make it up && you still wished you never rejected Him. There was times when everyone wishes they didn't do things, for him this song is about doing things against GOD && trying to be take control of his own life.

This has completely to do with it which is why this line is used;

"Knowing that I can be without anything scares me away from being alone"

We know we don't need things in our lives like sin && such, yet we still depend on it. We still want to use it && cling to something, whether it's a old habit or new. We don't want to be alone but our sin causes us to be alone, yet we don't realize that until we're with GOD, we're tricked into desiring things we don't need by the devil && the world, because we feel a need to be accepted, to gain materialistic objects, or have something to call our own for a identity by the world's standards... && if we don't have those things we think we are worthless or without a purpose which isn't true.

I love the lyrics. They are so easy to understand, no hard stuff about it. && the first lines are so amazingly true.

"I've made it so hard on myself, turning my back on how You felt
Seeing a lie that led me on, leaving a love that did no wrong"

We're the problem not GOD, and He never did wrong to us. He always will love us. It's encouraging to the extreme for anyone.

Pillar – Let It Out Lyrics 15 years ago
This song is so great! It's deep && the way it is sang helps you relate even more to it.

It talks about the Fall of Man && how we forgot we came from GOD ("We forgot from where we came"), to then talking to GOD and going back to Him. That you can't keep blaming others but realize the bad you did and ask for forgiveness ("I think it's time we take the blame And get back, rekindle this flame").

It also talks about how GOD is always listening && only He can be your helper in the mess you're in ("So, when I cry out, are You listening? I know You can hear me, I know You can hear me You're my comfort, can You hear me? I know You can hear me, You're my comfort"). Release your burdens onto Him, && stop holding onto them.

Pillar – Bring Me Down Lyrics 15 years ago
The saying isn't just Hindu or Buddhist... It's a Christian belief && the Bible states it many times (Isaiah 3:11, Proverbs 26:27, && Ecclesiastes 1:6-7 are a few in different ways being stated... There are many more verse though that show this belief), since Pillar is Christian, they wouldn't mix in different religious belief into a song. That would bring confusion.

As for the lines, it talks about being blinded to truth && believe is toward GOD. He's talking about a world of discouragement && hatred.. Which today's society has a lot of but they call it "joking around". This song also talks about being led by others and hints at conformity && to break it, to stop being a follower of the lives of other people && start leading your own; to take up responsibility.

"Back in the day when nothing really mattered to me
I only saw with my eyes what they wanted to see
And everything around me seemed to never change
Looking for an easy way out, someone to blame"

Pillar – Holding On Lyrics 15 years ago
You're right Laceration. Pillar is Christian && it's about the truth being revealed. He won't go back to the lies anymore or be persuaded to change... After all the Christian life is a hard one.

&& As for the girl comment, it's funny... Everyone wants a song to be about a girl or relationship, but I think it shows just how much GOD is needed in everyone's life. They want love or feel pain for love, yet GOD is the only one that can show you true love. I hope LionHeart7296 your own eyes are opened, because this song talks about everyone (the Christians && Non-Christians).

"Your frustrations, complications, time is wasting
You better figure out whether you're wasting time
It all comes down to I can't make you feel what I do
But I can feel for you, so, what do you got to lose?"

This is directed to Non-Christians to figure out whether or not they are wasting time in life by living the way they do && never achieving, but as much as the truth can be given to you, it's up to you to accept it... Which is why the last two lines talks about being unable to explain the beauty of a life with GOD but still hoping others will see come to one && praying for them.
