Rated 0 rate down rate up At first, I thought it was about an accident as well, but when I saw the video and listened to teh song many many times, I came to the conclusion it's about anger and desire. I suspect that "flashlights" isn't referring to actual flashlight, but rather flashes of light. "I am the storm I am the wonder" "And then flashlights and explosions" reminds me of someone who is quite angry that they can't have what they long for. We have all been there. A place where we are alone "It was me on that road But you couldn't see me" and full of desire and lust for that other person "It's about you and the sun" "What I have and what I ache for", but for some reasons, we can't have what we desire "We cover distance still not together". So, we lash out in pain and anger "I am the storm I am the wonder And the flashlights nightmares And sudden explosions". Sometimes, in a fit of rage, we can blow everything up including ourselves and the person we care more about then anything. Afterall, what else is there besides the one and only thing we ache for? |
