I love this song, it's really nice and romantic, as all the album... But I was really intrigued about the secret of the girl. You know, when it says: "What was I just about to discover When I got too close for comfort Driving you home Guess I'll never know" I think the girl has a dark secret, or maybe just a thing that she didn't want him to know, and she realized that the relationship was getting stronger and stronger, and the boy was going to discover her secret at any moment, so she prefered to go away and "change her mind" to keep her secret safe... What do you think is her secret? I think this may sound weird, but maybe she was hermaphrodite or something, and she really loved the guy, but she knew that he would want to "get closer" at any time and discover her secret, getting really scared and escaping... What do you think? |

It's a shame that songs of this group are not very popular in here, because this lyrics are very good to think and understand them in different ways and, just like pinkannon said, this is one of best bands here in Argentina. Well, this song is one of the most popular of the group and it's clearly talking about drugs, I don't think I can say very much! -------------------------------------------------------------- Que lastima que las canciones de Las Pastillas del Abuelo sean tan poco populares acá, porque dan para diversas opiniones e interpretaciones y, como dijo, pinkannon, es una de las mejores bandas argentinas. Bueno, esta canción es una de las más populares de la banda y claramente habla de la droga, no creo que haya mucho más para decir! |

Well, maybe you're right when you say that the author gives examples of things that are not ironic, but bad luck or Murphy laws. Eventhough, I think the song is trying to explain this 'bad luck' as something curious or annoying, more than ironic ("Life has a funny way to help you out"). I mean, why does the plane of that men fell down, but other 50 planes that were flying that day with people who are not afraid and maybe usually flies didn't? Sometimes you think that life is so unfair, because it helps people who have done horrible things all their life, and punish good persons who make worng thins one or twice... |
