All that I could figure out about this song is that a Richter's box is referring to a type writer. If am wrong please enlighten me. |

The song talks of Mary Pickford who was a silent movie star that was forgotten about when films went to sound. Celluloid being what films were printed on and Edison being the father of the moving pictures. The line about tungsten kisses is referring to the type of flash bulbs that were used in cameras in the early 1900's. The rest of the song is just showing Mr.Sterling slipping into mental illness. I am just happy to see other people still remember this band. |
