Oh my god. You are so ignorant. I listen to Relient K, Lifehouse, Avenged Sevenfold, Okkervil River... you name it. People have really diverse tastes in music. I don't think that people who listen to Justin Bieber have bad taste in music, it's just not stuff that I enjoy. You make mainstream sound like it's diseased, it just means that more people like it and it has more exposure. And just because you like one kind of music DOES NOT make you better. It makes you sound like an ass. Also if you really think this is all that bad don't look up the lyrics. |

| I absolutely love this song! When I listen to it I think it's about wanting a way to say that he wants to reconnect, to un-numb himself in a way. I always feel it's like losing your faith and wanting it back, so you can not worry and know that you'll end up alright in the end. | |

| I think this song is trying to show how in a relationship, you don't know if you can really trust someone, and sometimes it feels like you need to test the ties between you and the other person. I also think that maybe it's about a person who has gone through something really hard and isn't all that trusting and turns the testing of others into something twisted........ of course I'm probably wrong, but that's just my two cents. | |

I cannot believe more people haven't commented on this. This song could mean so many things. The mention of "a dream within a dream" shows how things are complex and deep. "A man within a man" could mean a person has many layers and that there is a part that others see and a part that nobody really ever sees. He'll think of it later A wonderful melody line That he couldn't quite get This could mean that even when you notice something and you take note of it you'll probably never see it clearly. He couldn't remember He'll never forget You can remember something if not clearly, it's always there.... This may not be right at all but it's what I got out of it. |

I agree with Fayrlie. If you neglect to see things from a new POV you can't expand what you know or think. It's probably that it is about suicide... but other possibilities are out there. People draw inspiration from more than one source, and people may convey things in strange ways.... I do think it is about suicide, it reminds me of a time when I considered it. Though I was not able to go through with it.... |
