| Tom Waits – Hell Broke Luce Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
Just heard this song and it's blown me away. What a graphic, hard hitting picture of the experience of war, post traumatic stress, and all the pysical and mental scars that veterans are left with afterwards. I love the line about how the people "Responsible for making all this mess got their asses stapled to a goddamn desk" Cool video too. |

| Tom Waits – Raised Right Men Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| I think Tom is mourning the loss of traditional values, boys being raised in to good men who know how to function well in relationships rather than winding up alone and sad, like the Mackie Debiasi in his toll takers booth, or dead in the morgue like Gunplay Maxwell and his two friends. He's saying it takes a good man to keep a good woman (a "Happy Hen"), and that the love of a good woman can in turn be the salvation of a man. | |
| Arcade Fire – We Used to Wait Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Yeah i like the synths too, nice and subtle | |
| Soundgarden – My Wave Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Its funny how for every single song there allways has to be one person who says "This song is about drugs-" somtimes they might be right, but usually not- might be a bit of one track mind syndrome | |

| The Pogues – Fairytale Of New York Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I think it means he bet on a horse that was paying good odds (eighteen to one) and won a lot of money | |
