| Gorillaz – Don't Get Lost in Heaven Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
This song is kinda like a story of hypocrites. "Mountain and a hole in the ground" mountain being a skyscraper, holes are portrayed as bad, saying that it is a rundown part of a town. "Crack on the Corner, and someone dead" It sounds like a drug dealer was shot and the crack was dropped. The song is saying that the person singing was part of the gang. "Fire coming out of the monkey's head" a direct reference to the previous song and signifying chaos during the shooting. "Don't get lost in heaven" The person is at a funeral service for the dead drug dealer, and their singing a song. " Took a line; More of it at home" his crack of course. "But you left me" the rest is about him losing his girlfriend. Basically, Damon Albarn is portraying life on the street. |

| Gorillaz – Plastic Beach Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Basically, it is a summary of 2-D's time on the plastic beach. It is known that ships past by, a whale messes with 2-D. Plastic Beach has been described as an island made of trash, styrofoam(keyword), old technology, and dead people. He is describing the beach and his status on the beach. | |
| Gorillaz – On Melancholy Hill Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I can see why everyone is thinking that its a person looking for a perfect person, and I agree. Also, the band Gorillaz is a virtual band. It is told that Murdoc kidnapped 2-D and brought him to Plastic Beach. Noodle is still missing from the El Manana conspiracy. 2-D is singing about Noodle, one his only friends. He wants her to come to the beach, and be with the band. The "hill", in my opinion, is the pile of rubble from the windmill crash in El Manana. The plastic tree could be a piece of the wooden windmill. As for the manatee, that could be 2-D himself. He is technically sitting on a pile of rubble aka Plastic Beach. He is the manatee calmly waiting for his friend Noodle to sail onto the shore. | |
