I think this song is about a girl who is so in love and doesn't know how the other person feels about her, 'It was trapped betweem two lungs' meaning her two lungs, she can't say it out loud. The guy has 'taken her breath away' Then it seems as though the girl has told the guy and they both feel the same way, 'The breath that passed from you to me', Breath meaning love. Then it goes on to say 'It crept' this gives me the impression that the 'breath' was a secret, like a forbidden love. If they tlod anyone the love could not go on. Now the 'It was trapped between two lungs' Is the lung of the girl and the lung of the boy. She goes on to say that she is so happy that she has this love, 'no more gasping for breath' |
