This ain't about anyone's perception of fame, genius. It probably means what Brent Smith's life used to be like. He was a junkie for fame. Don't get me wrong. I love love LOVE Brent Smith! |

Of course their Christian!! Ugh! You people make me soo mad! I'm creating the Sound of Madness now cuz I'm mad! It's about Brent Smith falling out of love with music! Haven't you seen the interview? Geez! and No. Shinedown is definetly NOT emo! You are all such freaks!!! And Shinedown and all their songs can be described with just ONE word.. Inspirational. That is Shinedown. I'm an artist and when I listen to a Shinedown song, I don't think of death or suicide like all you freaks out there. I think of art and beauty |

No no no!! Haven't you seen the interview they had with Brent Smith the singer? He said that after making the Us and Them album, Brent told Barry (the drumer) that he had to leave for awhile. It was a time in his life where he was falling out of love with music. He got a hotel room and had 6 or 7 pieces of notebook paper and just started writing his feelings. He ran out of room and took a pen he had and wrote on the hotel walls. With his cellphone, he took pictures of what he liked best and later it became... The Sound of Madness. It ain't about a child getting yelled at by its parents! Such an idiot!! |

| Sixx: A.M. – Van Nuys Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I really don't know what this song means but Nikki Sixx wrote it during his time of heroin addiction and he wrote the Heroin Diaries(Dec 1986-Dec 1987). Maybe the song means that he actually doesn't 'want to die in Van Nuys' and he's trying to overcome his addiction. Who knows. |
