I think this song is basically Hayley saying that she found it hard to believe in love for a while after seeing a love break down. It's not a love song in the traditional sense, but more of a hope song. She hoped that the break down of one relationship is not the same in every case. It takes us back to when she was a child, and as she has grown she has learnt that love does exist and 'the only exception' is the person who has made her realise this. Made a spelling mistake on the last post, posted it again all correct now! |

I'm a huge fan of P!nk and I listen to her albums on repeat. This is just my interpretation; In this song she is trying to run away from something which causes her pain, but I believe she is really running from herself. 'Wasn't it you that made me run away' is almost a question, trying to shift the blame onto somebody else. I think she is her own worst enemy in this song, but is searching for other people or things to blame her feelings on, not being able to cope with her emotions. Instead, she listened to the voice in her head telling her to 'run before [she's] dead'. She has lost control of her emotions and is searching for a way out of it, a new way of life. This could perhaps relate to the divorce of her parents, as she has referred to in many of her songs. P!nk is not only an artist, but a philosopher. She is deep, but I don't think she realizes it. Although her attitude is rather 'go with the flow', her songs tell a different story. She is very deep, and very complex. |

| I don't think this song is really implying a negative tone on homosexuality, since Jessica (one of the twins) was seen kissing Ruby Rose Langenheim. Although she has not said she is homosexual, I doubt she would write a song that attacks homosexuality. | |
