This song really rocks! ^_^ I like how it totally sounds like something that Metallica would do. I think i agree with what everyone's saying, that it's about Mike Portnoy. If any of you have seen the Chaos in Progress DVD he always seems to be fidgeting, especially during like the individual commentary sections. Idk, maybe it's just me |

Oh yeah, and this is actually a really great song. One of the better and inspiring songs by Dream Theater. Yeah it's not 42 minutes long, and it doesn't have any fast or hard parts where the guitarist and keyboard player are playing some fast riff together. It's a song that has a whole new approach from the norm, but a really inspiring song. It's hard to believe that people hate this song, I honestly don't see what's wrong with it. |

Whether this song was written for Mike Portnoy or for a woman, the fact is that the singer is saying that they'll always be with the person they're talking to. The song means that no matter what comes between them or what happens to them, they'll always be there for them to lend a helping hand (Y'know that one line in the chorus? "Through all that may come, and all that may go.) And, "Resonate inside this temple, let me be the one who understands," generally means that the singer is assuring the person that they'll always take care of them. This song is about love, and it's me and my girlfriend's song ^_^ |
