| i definitely think it's about letting someone go, be it from being broken up with or vice versa. i know this was an amazing song to listen to during a breakup. i related to it, even though i was broken up with because i felt if i had done something better in the relationship ("why did i go that way?") i'd still be with that person and happy. i think the song is mainly about abortion. "I seem to have developed through your needy womb. Your feeble ill cocoon" - meaning a fetus "I don't breathe for many people. I don't mourn the pieces killed in you" - that's pretty self explanatory, the fetus being killed while it was still inside of her "My injection must of been lethal" - injection meaning semen, which created the baby in the first place "Pick up the shovel love. You got some diggin' to do" - maybe meaning she's got some problems in her own mind from killing the baby that she needs to uncover and confront herself idk, that's just always what it sounds like to me when i hear this song. It describes sex and, in my interpretation, an abortion. |
