i dont think its really about drugs. by reading the lyrics, and watching the video, it seems as if theyre trying to get away from "electric feel", "kids", "time to pretend." showing how they're i guess, annoyed that those are mostly the songs their so called "fans" listen to. in the video, it shows the old peeople (fans) forcefully taking the electric eel out of bens neck(which andrew and ben in the video tried to prevent and were very angry when it happened) putting it into the machine symbolizing making a new single. and the people start to dance because its the dancy-pop sound that the fans wanted because thats what theyre past singles were like. |

Um, kerrigwen, if you were really were a big mgmt fan like you're trying to poortray yourself as, then you would realize MGMT doesn't want people like you deiciding what they're songs are about. They would rathar people individually comprehend what they themselves think of it. "educate yourself a little first instead of guessing and spectulating and assuming and sound like an ass" you're doing EXACTLY what MGMT doesn't want their fans doing. |
