Given Reagan's religious views this is more likely about being a good Christian before you die.

KMFDM – Money Lyrics 15 years ago
This song implies that America's drug and prostitution problem is because the government is reluctant to provide children of poor parents with support for higher education.

Never has a truer word been spoken.

Circle of Dust – Chasm Lyrics 15 years ago
From what I can make of this song, it appears to encourage accepting self-humility and forgiveness and believing in a higher power, an allude to Klayton's Christian beliefs. In a way it seems to regard atheism as selfish and unpredictable. I don't agree with its sentiment in this respect but it's a cracking song nonetheless.

Circle of Dust – Waste Of Time Lyrics 15 years ago
A lifetime of despair and constant failing leaves the protagonist completely and totally pessimistic.

E.g. an upbeat emo song. ;]

Circle of Dust – Refractor Lyrics 15 years ago
Owing to Klayton's background, this could well be an interpretation of the fundamentalist Christian church.

The song describes subtle brainwashing by corrupting the word of the Bible in such a way as to force the protagonist to think only a certain way, whilst claiming it is the message of Christ, so as to fool them into thinking they have an open mind.

The protagonist wishes to feel peaceful and express what they see as Christ's message in their own, unaltered loving way. However, the church instead preaches a message of intolerance and hatred and repeatedly forces this into the individual until they are mentally exhausted, and have no choice to take it into their own thinking.

Celldweller – Own Little World Lyrics 15 years ago
This song is about rebelling against a corrupt right wing authority.

For the record I'm a left wing Christian and wholly prefer secular music.

Erasure – Joan Lyrics 15 years ago
This song is about the ills of capitalism - it shows contrast between simple, spiritual existence ("rapture/fascination") and being labelled and controlled by consumer propaganda ("you really can be sold/if you dare to disagree").
