That description gives nothing for this song. Its beautiful, the way he writes is soft, and really makes you think. The lyrics flow so well with the sporadically written music, I just love it.
I know all too well the feeling he is describing, the one that you get when you have something missing in your life, in your heart. And trying to replace that something with drinking, partying, so you can forget about whats always in the back of your mind. In his case, a woman. I can feel the way he did at the moment he wrote this song, and that is one of the hardest things to achieve as a song writer. |

I think he does love her, but in a way that he doesnt know how to truely love. Hes feeling guilt for the things he cant give her, that unconditional love that she feels for him, because within him theres something missing, something thats holding him back. Its not simply that he doesnt love her....He just cant. |
