I can see it, the starting few lines of the song not only start the mood of the song, but it also gives us a perspective of the setting. There is obviously a man and a woman, and the 2 are having a little "discussion". Lauren, don't walk- Hey! I really did try to kill myself! Just before I faked it. "Wow. Shawn it's over." The man is telling this girl that he still loves her, but the inconvienent truth, is that she is in love with someone else. He is damanding, and hysterical, to cynical to be situated, and it appears that the girl is just telling him to forget about these memories of them in the past. What... the fuck are you write me letters? "Wow. Deal with it Shawn. It's over. Rock n' roll." All in all, the first few lines of the song, are a total oppisite of true love. True love is when 2 people are always happy with each other, when they both cross the "bridge", and meet at the middle. The feeling, is just, incredible. Sadly there is none of this here, and she shows it. Lauren, I wanna know you. "What does that mean? Know me. Know me. Nobody knows anyone else, ever!" NOW- This only starts the mood of the song, after the argument, I see the man leaving that particular scene, running, confused, and even insane. Running through a crowd of people, with their souls confound to what going on. The "slow" parts come in. The man is now somewhere, isolated, dazed and confused, trying to put this jigsaw together, into "finding out" what had really happened to them. He is having a palpitation, a type of heart problem. Things are getting dreary. He is remembering, the memories are agonizing. He 's putting salt in his own wounds, and as the song finishes, he falls to the floor of a heart attack, to symbolize his own broken heart. -Fin |

I see SO many things in this song, it kills me... I see a boy, wanting to "i love you" or may be, just asking her out, but he can't seem to do it, and his self doubt. Of a face full of words you'd think a few would be right (right) And with a few tips of courage, you'd think my lip's less tight (right) Right? Then, there is something that this "Katie" girl, told him, or actually did, that he can't get out of his mind, he wants to but can't. He knows he shouldn't be with this girl, his self doubt is saying that she can do WAY better than him. You've got standards girl What the hell are you doing with me? It seems that she is of another level of him, sort of in another "league", and he seems to blame himself to the core And damn why am I such a disgrace? You always know the latest place to be With your waved in friends and your waved out fees It seems that the boy, does know that she is better of with another guy, and still he doubts himself even more. What's a decent girl doing with me? He is now finally giving his final thought, in saying, "Why would she bother", but no one knows, the girl might actualy have a thing for him, he just doesn't know yet... only doubts. It's pure beauty, i want to know what would happen to the boy, I guess since i directed this thought... I have no choice but to see for myself.. |

Amazing song, absolutely amazing. As with every song that i listen too, i try to make a small music video in my head. The thing is, this time the video seems to be damaged, taking an infinite loop in my head. I see 2 lovers young and in love, happy to be together, and nothing can bother them, no one. They're waving from such a great height, an airplane, and as the others want them to stop their joyride in the sky, the too say no, not caring what others think, because they are too in love to care.. I've been seeing this since middle school, and don't think the infinite reel will ever stop, its beautiful. :,) |
